It is made of stainless steel and one side is retractable. The spear is generally a close-range weapon but as seen in the shot below, it can be used as a throwing weapon for long-range targets. It's also retractable. In the film, the Celtic and Scar Predators both have this weapon and use it quite a lot. When open, it extends an enormous length of 58".
